What is love?

A lot of people claim to be in love. In fact, simply by claiming it, they feel it makes it so. Is it love, however, when it causes more pain than happiness? Is it love when there is a complete lack of trust?
Here are some possible answers, and I'd "love" your input too.

Love is:
The most spectacular, indescribable, deep euphoric feeling for someone.

Love is an incredibly powerful word. When you're in love, you always want to be together, and when you're not, you're thinking about being together because you need that person, and without them, your life is incomplete.

This love is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions; completely loving someone. It's when you trust the other with your life and when you would do anything for each other. When you love someone, you want nothing more than for them to be truly happy, no matter what it takes, because that's how much you care about them and because their needs come before your own. You hide nothing of yourself and can tell each other anything, because you know they accept you just the way you are and vice versa.

It's when they're the last thing you think about before you go to sleep and the first thing you think of when you wake up. The feeling that warms your heart and leaves you overcome by a feeling of serenity. Love involves wanting to show your affection and/or devotion to each other. It's the smile on your face when you're thinking about them and miss them.

Love can make you do anything and sacrifice for what will be better in the end. Love is intense and passionate. Everything seems brighter, happier, and more wonderful when you're in love. If you find it, don't let it go.

Lust is the desire for their body; love is the desire for their soul.

Love is patient, love is kind, and envies no one. Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offence. Love keeps no score of wrongs; does not gloat over another's sins, but delights in the truth. There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, and its endurance. In a word, there are three things that last forever: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of them all is love.

Love is giving someone the power to destroy you, and trusting them not to.

Khloe Kardasian and Lamar Odom

Who got the better end of the Lamar/Khloe coming together? Did Khloe find herself the bomb athlete, or was Lamar lucky to land himself a Kardashian?

Interracial dating

Is a dating prospect's skin color a larger, more important issue than the type of person he or she is? If yes, is that a good thing, or is it, "just the way it is"?

Things in common

How important is it to have things in common in your relationship? If I'm a sports fan, how important, if it all, is it that my soul-mate also enjoys sports?
